Every year over the days before and after the Easter holidays it is traditional to organize a week of samu around Shorin-ji temple’s premises. This year it will be followed by a Sesshin conducted by Master Barbara Kosen. Dates as follows:
April 4–9: Samu. Work carried out taking a concentrated attitude, keeping awareness in the action and devoid of any profit-seeking. Samu is done bringing in a clean energy not imbued by a mentality of expectation for profit. Besides being a practice in itself, it contributes to create good conditions for the general practice.
April 10–12: Sesshin (arrival on April 9 in the evening): Intensive practice of zazen.
The sesshin price is €90; Samu’s is 12 €/day.
In order to stay in Shorin-ji it is neccessary to be a member of Taisen Deshimaru Zen Association. Registrations can be made on-the-spot for an annual fee of €20.
Please bring flashlight, bowl and sleeping bag.
