At the start of each month Mokusan Dojo holds a free initiation class to Zen practice, i.e. Zazen, aimed at those who visit a Zen dojo for the first time. Zazen is the posture of the Buddha’s Awakening. It is necessary to receive advice from an experimented practitioner in order to attain the exact posture. Sesshin signifies “to touch the spirit”. To plunge into zazen in pursuit of the spring.  A silent disruption to the illusion-making factory. Each one in front of him or herself, but all together.   A remembrance of Shakyamuni Buddha’s Enlightenment. He realized his true nature sitting in zazen under the Bodhi tree.
