Wearing the Kesa and transmitting it is the supreme happiness of man. He who thinks that it is no more than a tissue of narrow formalism is a puppet of his bad Karma, but he who is delighted to wear it will receive his share of happiness. Daichi Zenji best expressed the great happiness the Kesa brings to the whole Universe:
My body clothed with the rice field is happy
Quiet man, I’ve reached the Universe
I abandon myself to it, I go to or pertain to its will
The fresh breeze accompanies the white clouds
